Board Development 101 provides an introduction to building and strengthening effective nonprofit boards serving Community‑Based Organizations (CBOs) in the CVI space. This training focuses on the purpose of nonprofit boards, core roles and responsibilities, and how to recruit, engage, and support board members who can meaningfully contribute to organizational success. Participants will gain practical guidance on establishing healthy board–staff relationships, building diverse and mission‑aligned boards, and understanding how strong governance supports accountability, sustainability, and community trust.
